Don't Break or Throw Away That New-Fangled Light Bulb

Gee whiz - I didn't realize how hazardous these new-fangled energy-efficient light bulbs are.  Did you know they have mercury in them?  And if you drop and break them, you 're never supposed to sweep or vaccuum it up?  And you're supposed to get people/pets out of the area?

I haven't seen any recycling programs in my area for the bulbs, but I don't think we want to throw them in the trash when they burn out.  Hmmm.
