I Hate Nuts

I felt that the fact that I hate nuts was an important title for this blog post in order for you to understand the earth-shattering discovery I made at my recent visit to Disney World. Any kind of nuts, peanuts, almonds, soy nuts, sunflower seeds, pecans... All of it... Just like eating dirt. So don't put it in my cakes or pies or salads or brownies or cookies. That renders food worthless in my eyes.

Ok, so while at Disney, we kept smelling this HEAVENLY aroma of cinnamony-sweet goodness wafting about the parks. Turns out it was cinnamon-glazed almonds (and pecans). So, obviously, I avoided it. But, the smell was SOOOO inticing that finally, on the last day, I bought a package of the almonds just to prove to my nose that the taste was not as fabulous as the smell.

Get this, I was WRONG and my nose was right. They were yuu-uuu-mmy. Don't get me wrong, I still don't like nuts, or even almonds. But THESE almonds were different. They were coated generously in that crunchy-cinnamony-sweet deliciousness, hot, and roasted to perfection. Now, I'm on a mission to find the recipe and just wish I had thought of this before Christmas because you'd have all received them from me. All two of you. :)

Anybody had these?

you're getting old...turning 30 in a few months. Before long, you'll be blending your whole dinner together and drinking it. ;)

I'm actually 28 right now, Mandy. Won't be 30 for another 14 months, to be exact. Quite a few months. :) You can postpone the big surprise party you were planning for a while yet. I look forward to it, though.
